Privacy Policy

Last updated: Friday, 15 January 2021

Sync (collectively ”we,” ”us,“ ”our“) is a Service that enables users to synchronize activities like watching YouTube and Netflix and listening to Spotify. The Service is accessible via a Client that is a web browser extension available for major web browsers, e.g., Google Chrome, Safari, and Mozilla Firefox. The Client is subject to the terms and conditions of web browser and operating system vendors.

At Sync, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our users. This Privacy Policy document contains types of information collected and recorded by Sync and how we use it. We tend to require as little data about you as possible. The data we collect from you is, therefore, essential to our Service’s functions.

If you have additional questions or require more information about our Privacy Policy, do not hesitate to contact us.

This Privacy Policy applies whenever you use our Service. This policy does not apply to any information collected offline or via channels other than our Service.

By using our Service, you consent to our Privacy Policy and agree to its terms. We also reaffirm this point during registration.

Information We Collect

The reason to enter your personal information is apparent when we ask you to provide your personal information.

If you contact us directly, we may receive additional information about you. This data can include your name, e-mail address, phone number, attachments, and any other data included in your inquiry. • When editing your profile, you may submit an avatar or change your e-mail address.
  • When using our Client, you may provide User Content in the form of links to third-party activities or messages.

We also perform some operations automatically to improve our services:

  • Gain usage information and analytics into how users use our Service through Google Analytics and Firebase Performance Monitoring. This data includes browser and device information.

Although we accept payments, we do not store any information about your payment details. Stripe, our payment processor, handles all payments made to us, and you are subject to their terms and privacy policy.
